For October break we flew into San Francisco and got to visit some fun places there!

Then we took a ride the ducks tour (it drives on land and drives straight into the water and acts like a boat). The kids had a blast quacking all the way. They even got to drive the boat by themselves for a few minutes!

Then we went to Boudin's that has the best Sourdough bread ever and had a delicious sourdough bread bowl of clam chowder and sourdough pizzas!

The Blue Angels were having a show in a few hours and there was a Columbus Day Parade, so it was crowded and busy and lots of streets were closed so we walked up to the crooked street, it was quite a hike up those San Francisco streets!

Then we stopped at one of our favorite ice cream shops Ghirardelli’s and had a delicious sundae and Carter’s favorite, a banana split!

While we were there the blue angels just happened to be performing we were stuck in traffic, but finally caught a picture of them as we were driving on the Golden Gate Bridge!

Then we traveled up through the beautiful Red Wood Forests in Northern California
and along the beautiful California coast!

known as the "drive-thru" tree or (Chandelier Tree)

Then we stopped at a fun little place called Confusion Hill it is just off the old Highway and used to be a popular spot until the new Highway was built so if you want to go visit it follow the signs! They had a playground to play on and different gravitational illusions!

They also had water flowing up hill and the golf balls even rolled up hill!
Then we stopped and had a picnic lunch and the boys played football!
At Confusion Hill they had a toy gun that Kasen begged and begged for it so he shoot the bears because we were going to the forest! So here he is with his rifle, you better watch out bears!

Here are the boys! Behind them is the shallow roots of a fallen over Redwood tree, we learned that the redwood trees root system intertwines with other redwoods to support each other.

These are called the Cathedral Trees (the redwoods grow in a circle). It is considered a sacred spot and lots of people come here to get married so Chris and I kissed for good luck!

Then you get to take a Sky Trail ride through the redwoods up to an
observation area where you get to see the ocean! It was beautiful!

Grandpa Chuck and Tika have traveled all over the world and collected all kinds of coins and money in each place they have been and Grandpa Chuck has been saving it for the grandkids and gave it to them this time, it is a really cool collection and the boys had fun looking at it with him and asking him lots of questions and wanted him to speak all the languages with all the different coins!

Their home is full of all kinds of unique things from countries all over the world! The boys had a blast hearing the interesting stories (so did we!) The boys loved it when Grandpa Chuck would speak Russian or German!

Then Grandpa Chuck took us to the Science Center in Ashland which was one of the best one’s we have been to and the boys loved it especially because they got to play with their Dad and Grandpa Chuck! They even had an area for toddlers that Katelynn enjoyed!

Then we went to the beautiful Lithia Park in downtown Ashland it was
absolutely gorgeous and the fall leaves were so beautiful!

Tika was down in LA visiting Talia and before Tika would come home Grandpa Chuck had to shave his mustache and so he let the boys help him pick what to shave off first!

Then we went out at a yummy pizza place in Medford and Grandpa Chuck drove
them in Tika’s mini cooper convertible, they loved it!

The next day we went to the Family Fun Center and hit balls at the batting cages!

Then the boys rode the go carts and had a lot of fun!
Before we headed back to San Francisco, Grandpa Chuck and Tika took the boys out for one last ride in the convertible and got them books at the book store!

Then we stopped at the Thomas Kulich Visitor’s Center and walked out on the beautiful beach!

We had such a wonderful time and saw so many beautiful things!
