Our New Home and Neighborhood

Yay we got a brand new 4 bedroom home on post! They are 4 plexes, with amazing views! We feel so blessed!!! We had 3 weeks of dissapointment trying to find a decent place to live within our BAH and it wasn't happening! Finally we decided ok we are going to look in Millilani we found a house that would work so we were going to settle at 2pm I got the lease agreement and at 4pm I got a call from Housing saying we have a house for you, meet us at 8am tommorrow morning.  You will have 24 hours to decide if you decline this home you will loose your TLA so you need to have a back up plan! So I go, we love the home even though there is no backyard, and we pack up our hotel room and move in the next morning! All of our stuff hadn't arrived yet so they offer "loaner" funiture, but instead I just went and bought some air mattress we needed to get anyway! We ate off of paper goods and slept on air mattresses for a few weeks in our beautiful new home until our stuff attived! We have awesome neighborhoood and we love our neighborhood.  Chris has a 10 minute commute to work versus 40-60 minutes.  We feel SO blessed!!! Housing kept saying NO you will not get a house on base, if you are lucky next year, etc... so this is a huge blessing and we are so grateful that we live here!  Not having a backyard turned into a blessing because all the kids have to play out front so we have become a closer neighborhood and we are always outside playing!
