Our wonderful time in Hopkinsville!

The Stitt's took us to dinner many times as well as out to their lovely homes.

We went and saw Dr. Zotes and the hospital at Fort Campbell and really liked it!

Here we are with Dr. Hart and his beautiful wife Barbara at the Brass Latern where we had delicious steak! We got to take a tour of their home and it is absolutely gorgeous with treasures from all over the world they have collected!
Then we went to church on Sunday and met the most wonderful people there as well! Dr. Hart said I have a Mormon friend Bob Fears you will just love him I will give him a call and let him know you are coming! So he did and Bro. Fears came right up to us and introduced himself as well as many other members, truly southern hospitality!!!
The Roberts invited us over to their home for Sunday dinner and these are some of the strwberries from their garden!!! Kirstin made us homemade shortcakes to go with it! What a wonderful visit we had and such a nice family!!! They have been through a lot. There entire home burned down and they were safe, but lost everything.  They are the kindest people and have found humor amid all their loss. Truly an inspriation!

Here is their son Wyatt, and his bow, they even hunt out their back window!
Their beehive

There cute kids jumping on the tramp!

Then we went over to Dr. Stitt's and saw his beautiful land!

Dr. Stitt loves guns and so he let me shoot a few of them on his shooting range out back. I even shot an M-16!

Monday night the Fears and the Smith's (couple missionaries from Central, AZ) invited us to dinner with them at O'Charley's and what a wonderful time we had! Bro. Fears is an attorney here in town for Social Security, Trusts, etc...  he is also the Stake Patriarch and Sis. Fears is the Relief Society President and they had 10 children so they are super busy people, I am still amazed they took the time to spend the evening with us as well as the Smith's who are full time missionaries for the church! We were so touched by their warm welcome and hospitality!
Bro. and Sis. Fears, us and the White's
Then Bro. Fears invited us over to shoot some of his guns on his range! It was fun!
Chris and I
Here is his train set he made, he does woodworking too! Such a nice couple!

Tuesday, we had dinner with the Stake President's family the Craig's! Another wonderful busy family who took the time to have us over and feed us a delicious meal! He is Social Security in the county just over from us, Trigg County and they have 3 girls!

Wednesday I went with the Relief Society sisters on their temple trip to the Nashville, Tennesse temple about an hour and a half from Hopskinsville.  I had such a nice time getting to know them!
Joan is about 83 years old, the only widow in the ward,  and come to find out she is a convert! Comes from England so the perfect proper old lady with the outfit and wallpapered house to match! I was asking her what was the hardest thing about joining the church, thinking she would say her tea's, she says "tea wasn't hard it was my "brandy"!!! Ha! She said I also smoked so that was hard, but I knew the gospel was true and I wanted to be a part of all of it, so I put my packs and other vices aside and I never looked back! Such wonderful women that have lived hard lives, but are so grateful for their testimonies of the truthfulness of the gospel!

I was able to get all my blogging done, read 2 books 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and Dave Ramsey's new one Smart Money, Smart Kids! Loved them both such good wisdom to live by! I slept so much I must have taken a nap every day! I miss my kiddos though, but so grateful to have this time with Chris! I think this is the most I have seen him in the past 3 years and it was so wonderful for our marriage and something we really needed! I am so thankful to my wonderful mom and sister who took care of our kids so this could be possible! I have been blessed with the best Family  and friends in the world I am so thankful for my many blessings!!!
