Tonight

You just never know if your kids are getting what you teach them or not. Tonight was one of those "feel good" moments when you feel as if you have gotten "through" to them! Carter had already fallen asleep and it was just Kasen, I, and Dad laying in the bed. Chis was studying and so I thought I will just read to myself and Chris can read later, until sweet little Kasen said, "read the scriptures Mommy, I will get them for you"! So he got them and started reading out loud what Jesus did, most of it didn't make much sense, but what a powerful lesson! You can never start scripture reading too young! He knows that is what we do every night and he knows that the scriptures talk about Jesus. I am so grateful for parents who persevered though all those times we as kids never listened and it seemed to be more of a hassle then it was worth, because it has been such a blessing in my life, even though most of my years growing up it was just "going through the motions"! I know the scriptures are true I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ. I am grateful for latter day revelation and for the blessings that come with reading the scriptures! I love the song "Scriptures" it goes like this: "Scripture power, keeps me safe from sin, scripture power is the power to win, scripture power, everyday I need the power that I get each time I read"!
